Bruskey N.S lifted the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Division 6 Boys Football Title, after a comfortable win over Kill N.S, in the 3G Pitch, Kingspan Breffni Park.
Darragh O'Reilly got Bruskey N.S off to a fine start, with a free in the opening minute of the match, before James Smith converted a third minute 45 to send his side into a 0-2 to 0-0 advantage.
Bruskey N.S were dominating the early exchanges and they moved three points clear with five minutes on the clock. James Smith drove a sideline ball in on top of the Kill defence, where Peter Lynch broke the ball down, for O'Reilly to profit from and clip over a neat point.
Cillian Boyle had a goal chance for Kill N.S in the sixth minute, but he dragged his shot wide, of the Bruskey N.S goal. James Smith added two points for Bruskey N.S in the seventh and eight minutes to move his side into a commanding 0-5 to 0-0 lead.
Bruskey N.S's Oisin Smith added a free in the 12th minute, to open up a six point gap.
Kill N.S were unfortunate in the first half, spurning several scoring chances to open their account. They strung together a good move in the 13th minute, involving Cillian Boyle, Gavin Fitzpatrick and ended with Sean McMahon firing narrowly wide of the Bruskey N.S goal.
Kill N.S trailing by 0-6 to 0-0 at the half time interval, needed to make a good start to the second period and their performance was immediately much improved, from the first.
They dominated possession but hit four wides in succession before their perseverance eventually paid off.
Fitzpatrick, Colin McCauley and Conor Bannon all interchanged wonderfully, with Sean McMahon supplying the finishing touch to crash his shot to the back of Jason Comiskey's net, in the 21st minute. This left the scoreline 0-6 to 1-0 in Bruskey's favour.
A huge turning point in the contest arrived in the 24th minute of the match. Darragh Boyle from Kill N.S saw his goal chance blocked by several Bruskey N.S defenders and they immediately turned defence into attack. Bruskey N.S's Darragh O'Reilly finished the move, running through on the Kill goal before supplying a killer finish past Ryan O'Flynn in the Kill goal, to move his side 1-6 to 1-0 ahead.
Bruskey N.S built on their lead blasting in their second goal in the 29th minute, when Oisin Smith sent a sideline ball into Peter Lynch, who rifled his shot to the back of the net.
Conor Farmer increased Bruskey's lead to 3-6 to 1-0 when he stroked home a well taken goal. Cillian Boyle's point and two points from Sean McMahon, one from a free and one from a 45 that was deflected over the bar saw Kill N.S reduce their arrears to 3-6 to 1-3.
Bruskey N.S were full value for their Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Division 6 Final success, but Kill N.S will rue the several scoring chances they failed to convert in both halves, that would have made the match a closer contest.
